Not a Rebrand, But a Step Forward
The Three Pillars of Winning Minds
I want to make something clear up front: this isn’t a rebrand. Yes, you may notice a few banners have changed on some platforms, but this is not about creating a new identity. It’s about stepping forward with clarity.
Quick History
In November or December of 2019, God dropped mental health into my spirit. Ever since that moment, literally that evening, I began diving into mental health. I began to read books, listen need to sermons and podcasts, joined mental health community groups. I began preaching sermons and reading the Bible with an eye for mental health.
This also led me to start the Winning Minds podcast and begin mentoring at a local high school.
Among everything else happening in 2020, I started learning about money. It started with the stock market phenomenon during the pandemic (unfortunately I wasn’t one of the lucky ones whose $15 investment became $1.5 million overnight). But this led me to want to actually understand markets and economies, and eventually Bitcoin. Yep, the proverbial rabbit-hole got me.
Fast-forward five years later.
I continue to feel drawn to both of these areas of life: mental health and money. As I study them, I consistently see how they help us understand God and the spiritual nature of life, and also how the Bible speaks to these areas so well.
The Heart Behind It
For a while now, I’ve been praying, reflecting, and writing in this space. Constantly, I think about how I can add value to my audience’s life. What is it that I am passionate about and what is it that I think that God has been placing on my heart and directing me towards? Whether it is a subscriber here, or a random visitor who had a video show up in their feed - what is the message I’m pushing?
I’ve realized that it all boils down to three areas that keep coming back again and again:
Our Minds — because how we think shapes how we live.
Our Money — because the money we use, and what we do with our money reveals our values and determines our future.
Our Faith — because without God, the first two will always trend towards trouble. And without God, what's the point?
I believe your mind is important.
It is not just what you think about, but also how you think. Additionally, it is not just as simple as “it is how you respond,” but what are you responding to? As I have ventured into the world of mental health, I have seen first hand the intense suffering people endure, silently.
I have also had to deal with my own attitudes towards people and the stigma I would put on them when I thought they “had issues.” Not anymore. People make much more sense to me now, and I have much more compassion for them. This will not become less of an issue in our society anytime soon.
I believe our money is important.
As I’ve read and studied, I have had moments of excitement as I “got it,” but also moments of absolute frustration and hopelessness when seeing how much of a game our economic and monetary system is. Except it is not a game. These results actually impact your life.
Bitcoin has been gaining more and more interest in the last couple years. Admittedly, I did not understand it for a while. I had to begin studying what makes it unique and different than the "fiat" money we use. This comparing and contrasting began to reveal how fake our money is. It began to reveal the cruel and fleeting incentives we are influenced by. A lot of problems can be traced back to the corrupt nature of our monetary system.
But most importantly, our relationship with God is essential.
What I’ve known and see even more clearly now is that the first two heavily influence the last. And the first two are only sound within the moral framework of the latter. The way we manage our minds and our relationship with money can either push us closer to God or pull us further away from Him.
Why This Matters
This step forward is about clarity, not change. It’s about saying with conviction what Winning Minds is really about: Sound Minds. Sound Money. Strong Faith. It’s not a slogan — it’s a framework for living. And it’s the filter I will use in what I write, teach, and share going forward.
So, no — this isn’t a rebranding.
This is a sharpening.
This is a refining.
This is me putting into focus what has already been there in my heart and in my work all along. An ancient Jewish proverb says, "The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps."
My prayer is that as I walk this path faithfully and passionately, you’ll be inspired to do the same — to align your thinking, your stewardship, and your faith with the God who makes redeems, restores and renews.
